Terms of Use
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of the PowderTracks app. By downloading or using PowderTracks, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Your license
PowderTracks grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own recreational use. Premium is a one-time purchase — $19.99, yours for life. There is no subscription. Your premium unlock is tied to the Google account you bought it with and works across your devices and future updates.
2. Purchases
You buy premium in the app through Google Play. Google Play is the merchant of record and handles billing; PowderTracks never processes or stores your payment details. The price is a single $19.99 charge with nothing to renew. Any future storage add-ons, if offered, will likewise be one-time purchases.
3. Refunds
Because your purchase is made through Google Play, refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. You can request a refund from Google Play (Play Store → your order history), subject to Google's eligibility rules and time windows. If you have trouble, email support@powdertracks.com and we'll help where we can, but Google — not PowderTracks — issues the refund.
4. Your data
Your tracking data is yours. You are responsible for exporting and keeping your own copies; you can export to GPX at any time. How we handle the limited data tied to an account is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't misuse the app — for example, don't attempt to resell or redistribute it, interfere with its operation, or reverse engineer it except to the extent the law expressly permits. You're responsible for complying with the rules of any resort or area where you use it.
6. No warranty — and a safety note
PowderTracks is a recreational tracking tool. It is not a safety, navigation, or avalanche-safety device, and GPS readings and statistics can be inaccurate or unavailable. Never rely on it for your safety in the backcountry or anywhere else. Always ski and ride within your ability, follow local rules and signage, carry proper safety equipment, and use your own judgment on the mountain.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PowderTracks and its creator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
8. Third-party services
PowderTracks works with third-party services including Google Play (purchases), and, if you choose to use them, Strava, Health Connect, mapping providers, and our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Backblaze). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.
9. Changes
We may update the app and these terms over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
10. Termination
You can stop using PowderTracks at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. (Placeholder — confirm the governing jurisdiction before launch.)
